Swimming Pool Disinfection      

Azienda Chimica Genovese has adopted its electrochlorination antifouling unit to the disinfection of
 swimming pools on land or aboard cruise ships.

Its traditional Ecolcell unit can be used to disinfect seawater swimming pools using the same technology as is adopted for ships. ECOLPOOL uses electrolysis to produce a "fresh" disinfection solution - sodium hypochlorite - directly from seawater using just a small amount of electricity.

ECOLPOOL eliminates bacteria and kills viruses in a very short time and eliminates the need to stock harmful chemical products. More recently, fresh water swimming pools can be disinfected using a similar technology – ECOLPOOL 70 &120. By simply adding a quantity of salt to the system, electrolysis creates the disinfecting solution sodium hypochlorite.
