Sea water is an inexhaustible source for mankind and has a whole range of uses, both for ships and for onshore structures. However, in order to be used properly, it must first be treated before circulating inside pipes. Sea water is full of macro and micro organisms that quickly take root on the walls of the system through which it passes.

That is why ACG supplies the shipping and Oil&Gas industries and other applications with anti-fouling systems, commonly referred to as MGPS (Marine Growth Prevention Systems), which completely eliminate fouling.

ACG supplies two types of MGPS. The first system uses an electrolytic process to obtain sodium hypochlorite, a powerful disinfecting and oxidising agent, from sea water. The second system releases copper ions from anodes crossed by an electric current.
