MITIGATION OF CORROSION
Steel articles are widely used in applications that range from large onshore/offshore structures used in the OIL&GAS industry and in the shipping industry for ship hulls, floating basins and oil rigs and in industrial infrastructures, such as bridges, civil structures, electric power stations, methane and oil pipelines, all assets to be protected against corrosion and preserved. The environmental conditions in which steel articles are used range from mild to extremely severe.
Protection against corrosion is therefore one of the main problems in preserving steel articles. Over recent years, efforts have been made to lengthen the lifetime of steel constructions by promoting research and development of high-performance painted products and increasingly sophisticated cathodic protection methods. ACG offers valid and state-of-the-art solutions in its range of products for mitigation of corrosion of steel products, such as the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system, the ICCP MultiZone systems and sacrificial anodes.
